Starbucks and McDonald’s paper straws suck! When I despaired of ever getting a plastic straw in a restaurant again, I came across a revolutionary straw-less lid.
It is a plastic lid used at a hamburger restaurant called “KUA`AINA” that originated in Hawaii. There is a slight protrusion on the lid, which is a small straw. It is tubular so that you can suck up and drink cold drinks. Thanks to this, ice does not touch the lips or enter the mouth. It is an environmentally friendly product, with bio-pet produced from plant-derived raw materials.
KUA`AINA has one store in Hawaii, two in London, two in Taiwan, and 30 in Japan.
